Anybody want a ham samich?? Ohmygah those thighs!
Our little man is officially swaddle-free! So I mentioned a few days ago that Brady had decided to be stop drop and roll in his sleep which meant no more swaddle for you, little man. The first two nights were a little rough; he woke up several times because he’d rolled on his tummy and was stuck. Then he woke up and insisted on a bottle. I’m assuming he’s sleeping lighter now that he’s not in his cocoon and if he wakes up he might as well eat, right? Well make that my mission: get baby to sleep deeper = less night waking!
Being swaddle-free also means we get to use his cute zip-up footie pajamas which makes me happy, but I decided to pair it with the Aden & Anais sleep sack to give him the same cuddly feel of a blanket or swaddle in hopes he’d maybe sleep a little more sound. And guess what! IT WORKED. No more waking up. None. I want one for myself. I love that thing. But we only have one so I’m super careful not to let him get anything on it (ahem, drool) so I don’t have to wash it every darn day.
Oh, this also means we can nap in our crib now. Yes, you hear angels singing. B never napped in his crib longer than 5-10 min. I think because he was used to be swaddled while sleeping in there and he wasn’t as comfy. But this morning I decided to give the crib another whirl since he’s had a few swaddle-free nights under his belt. An hour later he was still fast asleep (I made sure he was breathing). I’m likin’ this corner we’ve turned.
And the view of exposed sweet meat on the monitor. Nom Nom Nom
